Free CPR & First Aid Courses
Over the last few months I have received many requests for Council to put on free CPR and First Aid courses for the Chandler Ward community.
I’m pleased to announce that through my ward office, we will be funding a series of free CPR and First Aid courses for local residents.
Local ANZAC Day services
Since World War 1, more than 1.5 million Australians have served in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
On ANZAC Day, we take a moment to reflect and honour the sacrifice of those who have served, past and present.
Whether you attend a dawn service, serve up a 'gunfire breakfast', or watch the annual ANZAC Parade on the TV, I encourage you to take the time to commemorate in a way that is meaningful to you.
Outdoor Cinema in the Park in Mansfield
It’s that time of year where we bring out our camping chairs, rugs and popcorn - Council’s outdoor cinema is once again coming to Mansfield.
On Friday the 18th of November, Braodwater Picnic Ground will be transformed into the ultimate family experience for kids and adults alike!
The jam-packed night with begin at 6:00pm with the Piptree Early Learning Centre hosting activities for the kids including face painting, arts and craft, and a play dough area.
Free CPR Courses at the Carindale Library

The first of these is taking place on Wednesday 2nd November from 1pm-4pm in the large meeting rooms at the Carindale Library.
Bridgnorth St Park Upgrade Party
After 12 months of planning, consulting and constructing, the Bridgnorth Street Park upgraded is complete and was presented to the public in a celebration a couple weeks ago.
The Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner joined me in officially opening the park with more than 400 people from the community.

Rename Barrack Road Park to Irene Longman Reserve
As part of International Women's Day 2018, I am launching a petition calling on Brisbane City Council to rename Barrack Road Park in Cannon Hill to Irene Longman Reserve; in recognition of Queensland's first female parliamentarian.
Meals on Wheels site to be named McFarlane Reserve
Local identity Bill McFarlane will be honoured by Brisbane City Council, with a park at 880 Manly Road, Wakerley set to be named after him.
Mr McFarlane, now ninety two (92) is the past president of the now defunct Wynnum and Districts Marching Girls Association.
Haunted Ranch in Tingalpa for Halloween
