Design work underway for upgrade of Molle, New Cleveland and Green Camp Rd intersection
One of the most exciting projects of the 2022-23 Council Budget is the preliminary design for the Molle, New Cleveland and Green Camp Rd intersection which received $447,000 in funding.
Green Camp Rd and New Cleveland Rd are crucial corridors in Brisbane’s eastern suburbs and this upgrade will look to drastically improve the safety of this dangerous intersection.
I receive plenty of requests, however this would have to be one of the most frequent, with many residents in the eastern suburbs writing to me over the course of my tenure in Council.
Bushfire awareness workshops for residents
It’s that time of year when Queensland’s deadly bushfire season rears its head again. This year, Council has partnered with Redlands City Council and the Queensland Fire Emergency Service (QFES) to run a series of bushfire information sessions over the bushfire season.
These programs are run by the QFES and will equip residents with the information they need to protect their homes whilst also maintaining the environmental habitats that they live in.
Design work begins on the Meadowlands Road Extension
Tens of thousands of vehicles travel on Meadowlands Road every day, it's a critical arterial for the Eastern suburbs.
That’s why Council is funding design work for the Meadowlands Road Corridor Extension in the 2021-2022 Budget.
Stanbrough and London Road intersection upgrade
I’m pleased to announce that the London Road and Stanbrough Road intersection in Belmont is being upgraded as part of the Australian Government’s 2020-21 Black Spot Program.
