Facelift for Hunter Street Park, Manly West

AS PROMISED, THE MAJOR UPGRADE OF HUNTER STREET PARK HAS COMMENCED!

Prior to the 2016 Council election, I committed to a major upgrade of Hunter Street park if re-elected.

This commitment was based on feedback I received when doorknocking in the area.

Council is now set to deliver.

Brisbane City Council’s 2016/17 budget has allocated $149,000 towards an upgrade for Hunter Street Park.

The old playground will be removed and a new modern play system will be installed.

Council will also be installing a new seat and making some minor changes to the landscaping.

This will include the planting of two new trees and erection of a sandstone wall.

Below are some of the design features.

Work on this project is scheduled to commence during February 2017, weather permitting.

I would like to thank you for your patience while we undertake these important park upgrades in your local area.
