Kerbside collection dates 2023
Kerbside collection is back in Chandler Ward, this year starting in the first week of March.
The schedule can be found in the photo above or alternatively at the bottom of this article as well as some quick collection guidelines and acceptable items list.
For those that are new or are unfamiliar with kerbside collection, it’s Council’s large item collection service that gathers unwanted household items that are often too big for wheelie bins (and too hard to take to the tip).
Free green waste drop-off weekend coming up!
Great news for residents as the Schrinner Council announces free green waste disposal at all resource recovery centres over the weekend of April 9th & 10th.
This is a great opportunity for residents especially in Chandler, Gumdale, Burbank, Ransome and Wakerley to clean up after the recent flooding and storms.
Kerbside collection resumes - updated dates March 2022
I’m pleased to announce that kerbside collection is resuming after being temporarily paused to assist in the cleanup of the floods.
The flood affected items cleanup collected nearly 50,000 tonnes of waste and was very successful in helping clean up Brisbane.
Under our new schedule, the suburbs skipped over the pause period are having their annual collection rescheduled to the Easter School Holidays.
