Council delivers park upgrades for Doboy families

Doboy Ward Councillor Ryan Murphy is providing more outdoor facilities for residents to enjoy in Doboy Ward, with $139,600 worth of park upgrades completed in November.

Cr Murphy said Council was investing $44.5 million into new and upgraded parks this financial year to provide residents and visitors with attractive parks and recreational facilities.

“These local parks were due for some improvements to keep up with the demands of the growing community, and now boast new features such as park shelters, picnic settings, bins, water fountains and pathways,” Cr Murphy said.

“This investment has seen Doboy Ward residents now enjoying improved park facilities at Minnippi Parkland in Tingalpa and Portwine Street Park in Murrarie, with a new shelter, pathway and basketball shooting box.

“In addition, each of Brisbane’s 26 councillors has access to $434,000 from the Ward Footpath and Parks Trust Fund for new footpaths and park improvements.”
