New Playground unveiled for Tillack Park

Tillack Park in Carindale is one of our most popular parks that is situated along the Bulimba Creek Bikeway. Unfortunately, Council had to remove one of the playgrounds a few years back, due to frequent damage from flooding.

Last year I conducted consultation with local residents about what they’d like to see installed in the remaining playground to make it bigger and better.

After collating the feedback from residents, I am now pleased to unveil the design concepts for the playground upgrade. The feedback showed residents wanted climbing equipment, nature play, swings (older and younger) and the main showstopper, a flying fox!

With the plans now confirmed, the next step is going out to tender and then construction of the new playground is anticipated for mid-2024.
