Safer School Precinct Program for Mansfield

The Schrinner Council is investing $10 million into the Safer School Precinct program to investigate and implement solutions around our schools.

Community consultation and initial design work for the first new Safer School Precincts will commence in the 24/25 financial year in Mansfield.

The project will encompass Mansfield State High School and Mansfield State School.

Example pavement treatment

We’ll develop detailed plans for each area, including things like:

  • Pedestrian crossings

  • Footpath widening

  • 40km/h school zone expansion

  • Kerbside drop-off and pick-up zones

  • Establishing gateways at school zones

These changes will benefit both students and motorists, helping to reduce road congestion in our suburbs and keep Brisbane moving.
