With storm and fire season just around the corner, now is the time to get your property prepared.

Brisbane City Council are offering FREE greenwaste drop-off weekends over the next few months, to help the residents of Brisbane make their homes and properties safe this storm and fire season. The green waste drop-off weekends are:

• 9-10 September

• 8-7 October

• 11-12 November

Chandler Resource Recovery Centre, 728 Tilley Road, Chandler (opposite the Sleeman Sports Complex)

What is acceptable green waste:

• grass clippings

• garden prunings from shrubs and trees

• Palm fronds, twigs, branches, leaves and loose bark

• flowers and foilage

• weeds, ivy, creepers and vines.
